Timothy Totten spoke at Westhope in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a private home, on May 25th, 2022. The home was built for Wright's cousin, Richard. It is over 10,000 square feet.
Westhope, also known as the Richard Lloyd Jones House, is a Frank Lloyd Wright designed Textile Block home that was constructed in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1929. This was Wright's only Textile Block house outside of California. The client, Richard Lloyd Jones, was Wright's cousin and the publisher of the Tulsa Tribune.
Darwin and Isabelle Martin (the Martin House) commissioned Wright to build them a summer home for their family on the shores of Lake Erie.
The Martin House Estate is comprised of several buildings and there are various tours to choose from when visiting: Darwin D. Martin House, Pergola, The Conservatory, The Carriage House, Gardener's Cottage, George and Delta Barton House, and the Landscape.
Experience Graycliff through their markets, too!
The Rosenbaum House is a single-family house designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright and built for Stanley and Mildred Rosenbaum in Florence, Alabama. A noted example of his Usonian house concept, it is the only Wright building in Alabama, and is one of only 26 pre-World War II Usonian houses. Wikipedia
Designed as two large rectangles that seem to slide past one another, the long, horizontal residence that Wright created for 28-year-old Frederick Robie, boldly established a new form of domestic design: the Prairie style.
In Lakeland, Florida, this is the largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in one location, the school campus, anywhere in the world. We take groups for tours and you can do tours on your own, or with a docent. (Tim was a volunteer docent here a few years ago. Robin volunteered in the gift shop.)
We take small groups to see the Lewis Spring House occasionally. To set up your own tours or just to see more details, visit their website: https://www.preservespringhouse.org/
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum was commissioned in 1943 and construction began in 1956. Mr. Wright and Mr. Guggenheim had both passed away. https://www.guggenheim.org/

A beautiful private residence in River Forst, Illinois, we were able to take two tour groups inside and outside of the home through the kindness and generosity of Susan and Art Vogt, who own the home. Mr. Vogt has an interesting story about his childhood as it pertains to the home. Located in Chicago, this building was designed by others, but the lobby was remodeled by Frank Lloyd Wright. It's beautiful and worth a visit. https://www.therookerybuilding.com/
