BOOK TIMOTHY TOTTEN TO SPEAK!
"Timothy Brian Totten delivered an hour long talk about the reinvention of Frank Lloyd Wright's career after the age of 63. As a well known expert, Tim provides the inside scoop, the funny and absurd, the entertaining and of course the marvel at what this man accomplished. This time, with only one photo. Tim's outdoor lecture on a beautiful day in the garden at the library provided many of us with a wonderful afternoon!" ~ Deb Bussinger, Leesburg Public Library

Timothy Totten presented his talk titled "Frank Lloyd Wright: The Textile Block Experiments" before a group from the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Westhope. It was amazing! This 12,000 square foot home, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright almost 100 years ago, was outstanding. Indoor photography was not permitted, but guests were permitted to wander the home in a self-guided tour. He loves being invited to speak to groups and this was like the most exciting one he's done in a while.

Travel season is upon us and our three exciting Bucket List adventures for 2022 are starting to fill up! Have you been looking for a chance to visit one of three amazing Frank Lloyd Wright destinations with your favorite master storyteller?!? Stay tuned to the end of this section for an opportunity to learn more about these trips on an informative interactive session that was held on March 7th.
APRIL 22-24 - Fallingwater & More!
Join us for this quick three day trip to Southwestern Pennsylvania. We'll meet up in Pittsburgh for a wonderful dinner and informative talk by a Frank Lloyd Wright expert before traveling by motorcoach to our hotel near Fallingwater.
On Saturday, we'll travel to Polymath Park to visit two amazing Frank Lloyd Wright homes that were saved and moved to the property. After a gourmet lunch at the Treetops restaurant, we'll take an in-depth tour of Kentuck Knob, a magnificent Grand Usonian home designed by the famous architect.
Sunday will find us at that bucket list location: Fallingwater. We'll spend several hours getting first an up close look at the house (both interior and exterior), followed by time on the grounds, a wonderful boxed lunch created by their in-house chefs, and photos at the iconic overlook of the majestic home. A leisurely coach ride back to the Pittsburgh Airport gives time to reflect on a whirlwind weekend and the memories made along the way.
JUNE 20-23 - Taliesin & More!
This four day trip to Wright's Wisconsin home takes us first to the city of Milwaukee. There, we'll enjoy a dinner and talk with a well-respected Wright expert. Tuesday finds us traveling to a block of "American Systems Built" homes designed by the great architect. With both a tour of the fully-restored 1-story unit and a tour of the in-process 2-story duplex, we'll explore Wright's vision for pre-fabricated homes in the 19-teens and the business tensions that sidelined the project.
Swinging to decades later in his career, we'll explore the unusual Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and hear the fantastic story of its creation and the way the congregation still uses the massive structure today.
Wednesday finds us in Spring Green to visit a non-Wright project, which still has to be seen to be believed. "House on the Rock" is one of those American roadside attractions that boggles the mind. While the original structure created by Alex Jordan perches on an enormous rock outcropping, it's his subsequent collections that make for a 1/2 day of very unusual browsing and amazement. Time permitting, we will visit at least one other actual Wright design in the area before returning to the Spring Valley Inn for the night.
Our final day is the home of Frank Lloyd Wright. His Wisconsin base, which he used each spring and summer until his death, features a school, windmill, barns, small houses, and the main house which make up the 700+ acre estate. We'll enjoy a 4-hour tour of the property, with stops at iconic locations like the main drafting room, Wright's living room, the blue loggia, and the master's bedroom.
AUGUST 16-19 - Oak Park, Chicago & More!
This four day adventure to Chicagoland brings us to the place where Wright started his entire career and where it almost fell completely apart! After a great dinner and talk by a Wright expert, we'll start out on day two for Wright's home and Studio in the suburb of Oak Park. This engaging tour shows us Wright's early design philosophies and let's us see how he worked at the turn of the 20th century. A walking tour of the neighborhood, led by our master storyteller Tim, will show off more than half a dozen Wright designs. The day culminates in a stop at Unity Temple, the magnificent spiritual space designed by Wright for his adopted hometown.
Further stops on the trip include the Wright-renovated Rookery Building in downtown Chicago, the Wright masterpiece Robie House, considered by some to be the best example of his Prairie Style of architecture, a driving tour of several neighborhoods brimming with Wright designs, and culminated with a tour of a private Wright residence not typically included on public tours.
